What your role would be at Goatsocial

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for building sales momentum at Goatsocial. Our service offering provides a fantastic opportunity to create long term value for many types of industries through Brand Development, Web Design, Development and Digital Marketing. You’ll be responsible for sourcing leads, generating value add services for current clients and responding to Requests for Proposals provided by government and private agencies.

This role requires a high level of grit and communications skills. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential new clients.


  • Generate new sales opportunities
  • Monitor BCBid and like platforms for new Requests for Proposal submissions
  • Work with the Strategic Director and Project Managers on scoping and estimating
  • Produce proposals and deliver presentations on behalf of Goatsocial
  • Attend networking events, Meetups and gatherings of people that work in relevant industries
  • Reach out to industry leaders regarding their Digital/Creative Strategy
  • Setup meetings with decision makers and internal marketing teams
  • Craft campaign ideas with our team and our clients
  • Build responsible, ethical business with clients that share and respect our company values
  • Exercise a high level of integrity in your sales processes


Required Skills & Experience
  • 1-3 years experience in an agency environment
  • 1-3 years working with clients face to face
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Craft
  • Basic level of understanding of brand development, web design and development and digital marketing
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced digital literacy and problem solving ability
  • Experience in Adobe Suite & Sketch
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Understanding of industry specific metrics like ROI, ROAS, Deliverability Rates, Open Rates and more
